About Greg...



In addition to being  founder and President of Michetti Information Solutions, Inc. in 1990, Greg is Vice Chairman of the Computer Network Advisory Board at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and a member of the Board of Directors of the Edmonton and Area YMCA where he also serves on the Audit Committee. In addition, he is on the Board of Directors of the Edmonton Riverview Progressive Conservative Association.  He has held a professional membership with the Canadian Information Processing Society since 1990.

Greg Michetti holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta as well as a diploma in Business Administration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Although he has articles written about him, one of his hobbies is writing and as a journalist, he has become the lead Technology writer for CNEWS, one of the most popular news sites on the Web. He also writes a monthly column for Edmontonians Magazine and for the very popular national publication, BackBone Magazine. Greg appears on CHUM-TV in Edmonton and Calgary and provides commentary on CBC Newsworld from Toronto, CHED radio in Alberta and CKOM Radio in Saskatoon, SK. Unlike many tech analysts-writers, Greg is very clear with his opinions; something most people really enjoy.

Greg has completed 34 marathons, including the 100th Boston Marathon in 1996, the New York City Marathon (three times!), AND the 52-mile Nanisivik Midnight Sun Ultra Marathon on the Northern tip of Baffin Island. In August 2006, he completed the Edmonton ING International Marathon; finishing in his fastest time since November 1997.
